Christina came highly recommended to me as a dog trainer, and I wasn't disappointed!
I worked with Christina for several months after adopting my rescue Juneau, a German shepherd-husky mix. Our sessions increased Juneau's engagement with me, foundation for continued training, recall, boundary-based reactivity and more. I’ve learned so much that’s been invaluable to me in pursuing our ultimate goal of Juneau becoming a therapy dog.
One of the things that sets Christina apart is her knowledge of animal behavior. I have a much better understanding of Juneau now, and we’ve come so far. The first time we tried to train at Mt. Tabor it was tough for him with all of the squirrels around. Now he trains just fine on his long lead at the park near our new place even when there are plenty of squirrels in all of the trees!"

Christina is kind, patient and thoughtful—and thinks about training from the dog's perspective, which I found really enlightening and beneficial.
I was struggling with how to help my dog Chance overcome his leash reactivity to other dogs and certain stimuli (mainly dogs barking) until I started working with Christina. She taught us skills and gave us tools that I now use every day. Chance has grown and learned so much, and I know we couldn't have done it without Christina's guidance!

Christina’s developed strategies tailormade for my dog and me, and our progress and results are impressive.
My Rhodesian Ridgeback, Leeloo, and I have been working with Christina for over a year. She’s helping us both navigate Leeloo’s adolescence. Our main focus is on leash reactivity and recall. We also work on husbandry: nail and ear care plus full body checks and vet visit preparation.
Christina’s knowledge of canine behavior is remarkable. She’s teaching me how to better understand and effectively communicate with Leeloo.
And I love Christina’s training style: she’s very thoughtful in her approach, always positive and always patient. Her instructions are precise and easy to follow for dog and human, during sessions as well as at home. She follows up each session with email recaps, including instructions and useful links.

Christina came highly recommended for a key challenge of Wally's puppyhood: separation training. Before we knew it, Wally was happy to see us leave!
We felt we couldn’t leave Wally’s side without hearing his painful cries as a puppy. This created a cycle of stress for everyone. Christina made everything seem simple through her depth of knowledge, experience and organized approach. She provided clear instruction and lots of suggestions and exercises. She guided us through the tough times. After a few years, we have called Christina back to work through some reactivity issues because we know we can expect results.

Christina recognizes that each dog is different, and she tailors solutions to the dog. I cannot say enough about how amazing Christina is as a trainer.
She has an innate ability to assess and communicate through the most challenging behaviors. We started working with Christina when we brought our puppy Margot home. Margot is a Ridgeback, and my first puppy - I felt overwhelmed with training on my own at first, but Christina worked with us so thoughtfully. She’s helped me understand dog behavior so much better. From counter-surfing, to chasing squirrels and recall, Christina has a solution for every challenge. Margot responds so well to the training and gets so excited for the sessions.
